The staff of LIN SB RAS organized a traditional New Year`s party for orphans, as well as for children and grandchildren of the Institute`s employees

On December 21, the performances “New Year`s Tricks of Shapoklyak” were held at the Center for abandoned children and in the conference hall of Limnological Institute. Young viewers not only watched the adventures of their favorite characters, but also became active participants. Upon finishing the fairy tale, the artists welcomed both children and adults to take part in joyful contests featuring goody bag, danced in a circle, and conducted a photo shoot with the favorite characters.

The following employees of LIN SB RAS prepared and held the event: Ivan Efteev (Ded Moroz), Evgenia Vakhteeva (Snegurochka), Igor Zaydykov (Crocodile Gena), Alexandra Zakharenko (Shapoklyak), Daria Smirnova (Cheburashka), Alena and Mikhail Yakhnenko (Naum and Yeremey skomorokhs). Maxim Shikhovtsev, Maria Bashenkhaeva, and Yulia Sapozhnikova provided technical support.

Following the tradition the orphans received New Year`s gifts from Institute. The organizers express their gratitude to the institute`s trade union, all colleagues who participated in the fundraising and purchasing gifts. Besides, we thank the holiday center “Umka” for the costumes provided. Wishing you a Happy New Year 2026 and Merry Christmas!
