The federal project “Development of infrastructure for scientific research and training” of the national project “Science and universities” will provide 56.75 million rubles to our Institute in 2023 as a part of the implementation of measures aimed at updating the instrument base of top organizations performing scientific research and development. SepaBean Machine Т Flash Chromatography System
The flash chromatograph allows analysis, separation of mixtures and sample preparation for other analytical methods using different columns (sorbent loading from 4 g to 3 kg) at eluent pressures up to 200 psi (~13 atm). The instrument is equipped with a UV/Vis detector (200-800nm) and a SepaFlash FP LTELSD Low Temperature Evaporative Light Scattering detector, which allows the detection of substances with no absorption in the UV/visible region.
Four-component total solar radiation meter SN-522-SS
It serves to study the surface energy balance and radiation fluxes with high accuracy. It allows measuring four separate components of surface radiation balance: incoming and reflected radiation in short-wave and long-wave spectral ranges.
Precision resistance calibrator IKS-1
Designed for high accuracy temperature measurement, reproduction of electrical resistance and resistance thermometer signals, and testing and verification of temperature sensors and temperature measuring equipment. Certification and verification of thermostats, temperature calibrators, drying cabinets, autoclaves and hot and cold chambers.
MSO8104 mixed signal oscilloscope
It is designed for high-frequency electrical and radio measurements in laboratory and field conditions. Diagnosis, repair and adjustment of a wide variety of research equipment and other radio-electronic devices, including for the development and debugging of new scientific instruments.
KDS-1-2 special single-channel pressure controller
It is designed for precision measurements of pressure and its high-frequency pulsations. It enables to reproduce absolute pressure during verification and testing of pressure sensors, including liquid level sensors based on the hydrostatic principle of operation.
Complex for measuring hydrological parameters and water quality
The complex is designed to study hydrological, hydrophysical and hydrochemical parameters of water quality. It allows to organize online monitoring of water quality parameters at autonomous stations on rivers or lakes or on the ship's course. Also when it is used in carrying out laboratory experiments in swimming pools and cultivators.
Cell counter QUANTOM Tx™ Microbial Cell Counter Basic (Logos Biosystems, Republic of Korea) (www.logosbio.com)
Automatic cell counter based on fluorescence microscopy image, which allows detection and abundance estimation of prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells ranging in size from 0.3 to 50 µm. The analysis time is approximately 30 seconds (to capture and analyze 10 images). The QUANTOM Tx™ cell counter allows counting cells in the sample concentration range of 2x105 to 1x109 cells/ml (optimally 1x106 to 5x108 cells/ml). The sample loading volume is 5-6 µl, and the analyzed volume is 0.09 µl. The counter is equipped with a touch screen (1280 x 800 pixels), the instrument measures 43.3 x 31.0 x 22.5 cm and weighs 10.8 kg. The kit includes a centrifuge for sample preparation and special glasses. Also, for automatic cell counting, two specific dyes are required to count the total cell count and estimate the number of live cells.

SPUTNIK N32 laboratory nitrogen gas generator
Laboratory nitrogen gas generator SPUTNIK N32 (NPO Promtegra) was purchased for modernization of the chromatography-mass spectrometry complex (HPLC chromatogaph Agilent 1200 and time-of-flight mass spectrometer Agilent 6210 and Agilent 6330). Modernization allows improving the analytical properties of the apparatus (background reduction) due to the possibility of using higher purity nitrogen.
Desktop Sputter and Carbon Coater DSCR evaporation system
An automated rotary pump coating system designed for sputtering and carbon coating (filament) with interchangeable heads is the Sample Preparation System for Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM). The device may sputter noble metals onto non-conductive or imperfectly conducting samples, such as gold (Au), palladium (Pd), platinum (Pt), and gold/palladium (Au/Pd), covering the samples with an electrically conductive film.
Ion chromatograph IC-2800
Ion chromatograph IC-2800 with infusion pump and conductivity detector is designed for determination of anions F-, Cl-, NO2-, Br-, BrO3-, NO3-, HPO42-, SO42-, SO32-, S2O32-, cations Li+, Na+, NH4+, K+, Mg2+, Ca2+ formic, acetic, and oxalic acids, by-products of tap water disinfection. The chromatograph is equipped with a double plunger reciprocating piston pump and a system of flow channels providing continuous automatic regeneration of the micromembrane suppressor, high suppression capacity, low background conductivity, which allows components to be detected at ppb concentration. The automatic injector (autosampler) allows operation with a minimum of 120 vials of 1.8 ml volume.
Spectrophotometer Sintecon СDА-4–UV/VIS
Expert-level spectrophotometer with double noncoplanar monochromator with a Litrow prism.
The optical design of the spectrophotometer provides reduced stray light and a wide photometric range. The optical part of the CDA-4 can be adjusted to meet specific analysis needs. The spectral range is from 185 nm to 900 nm. High wavelength accuracy is guaranteed by an integrated mercury light and automated spectrum deviation correction. The optical module enables to measure the far-UV region. It is equipped with a thermostatically controlled cell holder and an automatic cell changer for analysis variability. It is used for the determination of dissolved substances in water (nitrite, nitrate, ammonium, phosphorus compounds, silicon, etc.) as well as the concentration of chlorophyll a and other pigments.
