On August 15-22, the all-Russian expedition Floating University “Baikal-evolution” took place
Seven scientists participated in the expedition as teachers and there were 12 audience members. All the time Floating University was working, the participants listened to 1.5-4.5 hours of lectures at Limnological Institute of SB RAS in the settlement of Bolshiye Koty, familiarized themselves with the peculiarities of research in Baikal on the R/V “Titov” and took part in various excursions. The lecturers were members of Institute of Cytology and Genetics SB RAS, Institute of Molecular and Cell Biology SB RAS, A.N. Severtsov Institute of Ecology and Evolution RAS, Limnological Institute SB RAS. The listeners were master's and postgraduate students of biological specialties of Moscow State University, Irkutsk State University, Novosibirsk State University and Far Eastern State University.
