On July 30-31, 2023, the delegation from Chinese Geological University and Nanjing Institute of Geography and Limnology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences visited LIN SB RAS

During the visit, the Chinese delegation was familiarized with the activities of the Institute, and a working seminar was held to discuss the prospects of the Russian-Chinese cooperation in the field of limnology and geology in East Asia. Staff of Chinese Geological University (Beijing) led by the rector of CSU academician Sun Yuhong, professors-supervisors of scientific subjects from Nanjing Institute of Geography and Limnology of CAS, staff of Limnological Institute of SB RAS and Institute of Earth Crust of SB RAS participated in the seminar. During this visit, Li Hai Consul General of the People's Republic of China in Irkutsk and Lin Fang Science and Technology Consul visited LIN SB RAS. The agreement on international scientific cooperation between the participating organizations was officially signed. The opening of the Russian-Chinese expedition took place on Baikal on the basis of signed agreements between the organizations. The first joint expedition will last until August 03, 2023.
