The Seventeenth Senior Technical Managers’ Meeting of the Acid Deposition Monitoring Network in East Asia
The 17th Senior Technical Managers’ Meeting of the Acid Deposition Monitoring Network in East Asia will take place in Listvyanka from 20 to 23 September 2016 on the basis of the Limnological Institute, with the expected 25 participants from 13 East Asian countries.
The main objectives to be discussed at the Meeting are the audit and approval of the data obtained in 2016 on the network of monitoring stations for precipitation, soil, vegetation, and surface waters; approval of national monitoring plans for 2017; discussion of data on inter-laboratory comparisons.
International EANET programme was launched in 2001 at the initiative of Japan. It currently includes 13 countries from East Asia (Japan, South Korea, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, Philippines, Malaysia, Russia, Mongolia, Laos, Cambodia, Myanmar, and China). The programme is mainly aimed at study of acidic pollutants in the atmosphere and precipitation, as well as their impact on the various environments.
