A Youth School “Modern Limnology at the Intersection of Disciplines” will be held within the framework of the Conference. The aims of the School are to develop and improve the training system of specialists of higher qualification in limnology, molecular biology, hydrophysics, biochemistry, ecology and sustainable nature management.
Within the framework of the School, the students from Russian and foreign universities as well as postgraduates and young researchers will be able to share experience in their investigations. They will be also involved in scientific studies on ecology of large aquatic environments. Over 200 young researchers are supposed to take part in the School Programme.
Leading international scientists will give lectures and master-classes on the following topics: fundamentals of microscopy (sample preparation and principles of microscopic analysis), methods for bioinformatics analysis in molecular biology (R-programming and phylogenetic analysis) and methods for classical ichthyology (general biological analysis and hydroacoustic survey of commercial fish).
Moreover, a session will be held within the framework of the School for students of 8-11 grades, who are involved in research under the leadership of scientists and teachers. The aims of this school session are to encourage young people to participate in scientific interdisciplinary studies, to develop cooperation between scientific communities and secondary schools and to train scientific skills in school students for their future careers.
In addition to the Programme, it is planned to conduct on-line lectures within the Skype-session and Round Table Discussion “Grant Support and Training: Perspectives and Up-To-Date Experience”.
