Scientific school
During the Conference, the world’s leading scientists will give lections within the framework of the International Scientific School for Young Researchers “Modern Interdisciplinary Limnology”.
School session
In 2020, the Conference will include a School session for the pupils of 8-11th grades who carry out research work under the guidance of teachers. The School session aims to involve young people into scientific interdisciplinary studies, develop cooperation between the scientific community and institutions of general secondary education, teach pupils research skills with a view to vocational guidance.
Organization of the School session:
· Applications for participation in the Conference and abstracts in electronic form (see Author Guidelines in the Attachment) should be sent to email address This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. (for the attention of Olga Maikova) with the subject “School session” before 1st July 2020. The programme of the school session will be based on the selected works (essays are not accepted).
· On 20 August 2020, the list of selected participants in the school session will be posted on the school section web-page.
· Participants of the school section should be pupils of 8-11th grades.
· Date and venue: 10 September 2020 in Molchanov-Sibirsky Irkutsk Regional State Multipurpose Scientific Library (253, Lermontov St., Irkutsk).
· Scientific areas of the school session are as follows: i) Baikal knowledge; ii) ecology; iii) botany; iv) zoology (additional areas are possible, if necessary).
· The time limit for research reports is 7 minutes or less, and for questions – 3-5 minutes.

Assessment criteria for research works:
· Independent research, experiment and comparative analysis
· The practical value of the results
· Use of knowledge beyond the school programme for a certain age
· The erudition of the author in the studied field
· The structure of the work and its presentation
